How to tell if the prop is spun.

Hi All,

I was given a couple of props for my '79 7.5hp Merc is there a way that I can tell if the "new" ones are in need of a new hub,I would install and try them but my motor is a 3 hr drive away!

eyeball it and look for frayed rubber...also look at blades for sign of a impact...

Often the rubber will show that it is torn/messed up if spun

I could turn mine by hand with the motor in gear. Also, it showed signs of spinning on the flat part that rides against the thrust washer.
