Unfortunately I just blew my motor, busted a ring. I have the drive removed from the boat, a Bravo 2 is it ok to stand it up with all the weight on the bottom skeg?
Is it OK to lay the drive down? What is recommended?

Thanks
Frank

Doesn't matter, just keep it dry. You don't want the ujoints and yokes to get rusty.

On an outdrive stand is the best way, that way you can wheel it around, cause it's about 150 lbs to deadlift off the floor. But really, as long as you don't drop it, it's fine. Laying down is just fine. I put a sock over the drive shaft and the prop shaft, just to make sure they don't get scratched, dinged, or gouged.
I got my outdrive stand from bims racing products for about $150, but I'll bet iboats has a model for sale on here.
