How to start Chaparral after new filters?

I did maintenance on my 1900 SLC Sport, including new gas filter(s). The engine is a Volvo Penta 430. Now the boat won't start - don't smell any gas at all. Who can help me out with how I should prime so I can get back out there?
Greatly appreciated,
Mike.

Is it gasoling or diesel? If it is gasoline, there is no priming necessary. Are you sure you have oil in it? If no oil pressure is sensed after 3-5 seconds the motor will shut off the fuel pump.

It's gasoline. The oil should be fine - I changed the engine oil as well and it is topped off. I was just thinking since I had the gas line disconnected to replace the gas filter I might need to somehow prime.
Since I replaced the oil, would that cause a low reading until the oil was circulating?
Thanks for the reply.

Interesting. I am not familiar with the Volvo 430. I have the 5.0 and I don't have to disconnect any fuel line to change the fuel filter. Is disconnecting the fuel line routine?

Assuming your motor is new enough to have an "electric" fuel pump, it should pump fuel, regardless of air to the new filter. If I were there I could diagnose it for you, but over a computer I can only imagine the problem. Sorry
