hey guys, i just picked up a 16.5' x 6' garvy style flat bottom boat. it's sitting on a 1972 dilly trailer that is not even close to being set up right. i need advice as to what my options are for set up. bunks only? rollers? a combination of both? whats my best options being on a fairly strict budget. as of now it has 2x 5 foot bunk rollers only. i do have brackets for other rollers but they where keel rollers and were trash anyway. no keel rib on the boat. any help is appreciated..

I had mine on rollers and bunks at different times and i liked the bunks better. I ended up using 4 2x6 boards about 9' long for my 1455 roughneck but 2 would have been plenty for support. I also topped them with plastic garage door trim boards from home depot to make them extra slippery.

Keel rollers will provide no benefit with a flat bottom boat. Just leave what you have and add roller side guides so the boat will always be centered on the trailer.
