The top carb in my outboard is squirting fuel out of the overflow valve, so I need to take it out and clean/rebuild it but I dont know how to get it it. If anyone has directions or a video on how to remove it that would be great.

It is a 1978 Mercury 900 90 hp outboard

OK, That motor should have a distributor that makes getting the top carb off a challenge. Remove wrap cowl, remove top cowl. Disconnect electrics. Remove 4 rear cowl support bolts (1/2" wrench). They are located on top of lower cowl. Remove 3 top cowl support nuts (3/8" wrench). Disconnect the choke wire. Remove the top front cowl support bolts (1/2" wrench). Remove the cowl support. Remove the starter. Now remove the top carb cover (5/16" wrench/socket). Remove the carb mounting bolts (1/2" socket). Now wiggle the top carb until the yoke clears the distributor fingers.
