Can anyone here tell me how to remove the rear seat back in my 2011 SS20. I know there is an access panel behind it (I can see the edge of it) but I can't see how to remove the seat back to get to it.

Thanks,

My seat backs are screwed on. You have to feel around for them. My 202 has two access panels behind the rear cushions. If you have an I/O you can see the cushion screws via the engine bay, not sure on an OB set up. I have an I/O and was checking out options to get to my hatch pin in case I lost power and my engine hatch couldn't be opened, figured there would be rear cushion access. I decided to put a lanyard on the actuator pin vise pulling the cushions so I haven't actually had them off to get to those panels but it would be a second option.

I know this is a couple of months old but.......the seat back will come off by first removing screws that are at the bottom of the cushion itself, if you move the seat cushion you will see a screw on each side that goes thorough a "figure eight" at the bottom. remove those screws and the seat back will lift straight up off of some clips. then there is the panel that is screwed on....something like 6 screws that you will see after removing the cushion, and 2 screws that go in from the engine compartment side....at least thats how my 2011 202 is, had it off last week. @ ShadowB......Lanyard is exactly what I did too, small cable attached to the lynch pin on the actuator shaft and a keyring loop that barely sticks out from under the hatch at the transom walk thru.......very odd they dont' think of that at the factory.......seat back is not an option on mine if the hatch motor dies, seeing as there are 2 screws holding the panel on from the inside as I stated above..
