I'm new to this forum having the same issue need to remove my carburetor for a rebuild can't view the website posted above with the images. All I can see is the starter itself not wear the bracket hooked up. My motor is a 2000 Johnson 25 horse it is bogging at wide open throttle. It will go in reverse - full RPMs or in neutral to full RPMs but not in drive all the time period seems to only do it once it's warm

Kloctower Your new thread. Take a look at the Help Tip on top of the page to see why it was moved.

Thanks moderator, for your good work that you do.

Kloctower, it turns out that I don't have the diagram for your 2000, but this should be close enough for this purpose. Most people have trouble finding the bolt #60 in the bottom of the starter bracket (inset in picture)

" I thought it was carb related but it's not overheating "

Are you saying the engine is not overheating?
Are you saying it is not carb related, and that the engine is overheating?

A bit of Punctuation would explain it clearer

I believe what you mean is "a bit of punctuation would explain it more clearly". We can do this all day. The point is this is the wrong place for the problem which is why I was in a hurry to start a new thread and didn't put the period in after the word "not". The motor is overheating. Otherwise I think there would be no reason to post about a problem related to heat??? Thanks for taking the time to help out tho. I have another thread about my problem with overheating. I believe it's something plugging the Water jackets or bad gaskets somewhere. The head is off and no blockages. Missing plug tho
