As long as the fuel system is primed, turn the motor over a few times should purge the system. Are you having a problem?

yes

The engine rpm is surging up and down. also spuddering, will not run at full throttle. If the boat sits for a couple days it will run full throttle for @ 1min. then loose rpm. I have replaced the low pressure mechnical pump.

thanks

Re: how to purge EFI fuel system

Sounds like a fuel restiction, or air leak in the fuel system between the motor and the tank. Check tank hoses, and all connections. While running the motor at wide open, have someone squeeze the primer bulb when the motor starts to die. Are you getting any alarms when this happens, the motor could be going into guardian mode also. If no overheating or low oil pressure issues, I suspect your issue to be fuel related. Could be the high pressure pump failing, a plugged fuel filter (this motor has TWO in the cowl), a plugged screen at the bottom of the VST before the high pressure pump, a dirty inlet into the VST... the list goes on and on.
