How to mix the oil?

I know there's been alot of topics on oil recently...well...here's another. How much do I really have to mix the gas and oil? Is just pouring the oil into the gas enough? Do I have to shake it up? Right now I have a portable tank, so I do shake it a little, but I want to permanently mount a tank under my bow, making that impossible.

OK, how does one pick up and shake a 125 gallon built in tank?

the stuff mixes easily together, add oil, then add fuel it'll mix fine. at 50:1 mix, I add 1 gallon oil then 50 gallons gas, 1 more gallon oil 50 gallons of gas..oops only got 99 gallons in before filled, just did it yesterday before storing in shed. Ready to go next weekend. Most of us have partial filled tanks when topping off with fuel, depending on tank size it may depend on oil container size.. do the same thing with pints 1 pint 6 gallons another pint 6 gallons till full it'll mix fine.
