Hi everyone,
after considering a kicker for some time I have decided to give the brandnew option of installing a Variable Trolling RPM Switch on my Yamaha F115 outboard.
Yamaha website says:
No gauge required now for easy control of Yamaha's variable trolling function.
A cable, the switch itself and a mounting panel with screws. Thats it. Nothing more, nothing less, not a single piece of paper with it.
I read somewhere that it needs to be plugged into the motor where the tiller would usually go if one used one. I found 3 possible cables to connect to in the motor. I have no repair manual, so I wanted to ask if one of you knows more and can help me. So this is where I think it goes...
I am basing my guess on the cable colors, which match the ones of the switch, as you can see here...
Any thoughts? Any help is much appreciated!
Happy boating everyone!!!

- Increased VTS functionality; now adjusts RPM without the gauge
- Compatible with F25C through F115 and VF115 (remote control models only)
- Helm-mounted remote switch connects to tiller handle input on the outboard
- Another way to make fishing (and boating) easier
- Includes switch, mounting plate, 4 SST screws, and harness
- Harness Length = 26 ft.
