Hi sorry for this question since it has probably been asked I just could not find it throughout my searching. <br />Well the lower end on a 500 Merc outboard was lowered at one time and for some reason was put back on but the gears were moved into forward. So now all there is is forward. I can not see for the life of me how to drop this lower end to place back into neutral. There are 2 nuts at the back then what a socket does not fit into the hole on top up front?...I greatly appreciate any help or information to figure out on how to drop the lower end or even better yet How to tell the gear is in neautral while shifter is?...TY
