Hey all. So I have a motor we want to sell, and it's old and grimy. Both outside the cowling, and under it. Do you have any tricks like "take it to a carwash and blow the crud off it"?

You know that engine cleaner setting for cars...can I do this under the cover on an outboard?

Just want it to look as presentable as possible for photos.
Ryan.

Also any electrical connections...plus I tape off the carb inlets with duct tape after removing the plastic inlet housing. After drying a bit I use WD 40 and try to work it into any areas that are rusty or show corrosion.
