How to check manufacturing year in a Kawasaki ZXi 900?

Hi Guys!!!

I am trying to buy a Kawasaki ZXi 900, but I need to check the model code to verify the year of the Jet Ski. The owner says that the jetski is from 1999 but I have serched in internet and found that Kawasaki only built that model in 1995, 1996 and 1997. The ski is in good shape, and I just need to check the model because of the price.

Could you please tell me where in the hull, engine or wherever is the code that specifies the year of manufacturing?

Usually the last two digits of the HID (hull ID) indicate the year of the vessel.

that is correct, last 2 digits of the hull number

97 seems to be the last year for that ski, looking up parts anyway. Also
nada also shows 97 as the last of the 900zxi models at 1700 dollar value.. 98 the model went to a 900 stx and it was a bigger hull also.

or you can just tell me what colors the hull has,, you can also tell that way,, 95 had the purple hull with pink and green upper
