if you are talking about a 250 - 300hp 90 degree LV, whats the year & hp?
you will have to remove the 3 line check valve, but the 8 recirc fittings can be left in for the check - as long as you can slide the hose over nipple.
i got my syringe from a pet store.

what manual are you using?
-
cylinder side fittings
remove hose, attach clear hose, syringe filled with- alcohol should move back and forth.
-
check valve/fitting
intake side (behind & sides)
remove hose attach syringe
1-press litely on syringe- alcohol should not move threw fitting.
if it does replace.
-
2-draw air threw fitting.
if you cant draw air replace.
-
the fittings also have little screens that collect debri, even if they are good doesnt hurt to remove & clean.
