how to change oil / 1998 force 90horse

Hi, I'm new at boating and i don't know how to change the oil in the foot of a 1998 force outboard.there are 3 plugs 2 are side by side and the other is at bottom of foot.I have asked and found out that u fill from drain until it comes out the oil level hole.But what is the vent for? :confused:

If you dont have a vent hole the fluid will not go in. It is a sealed system. Similar to your gas can. If you dont remove the small cap gas dont flow good from the pour side

You could fill at the oil level hole and quickly fit the vent screw in once the oil begins to flow out at the oil level screw. It's best to use a little plastic oil pump that fits into a quart bottle -- you can buy for under $10.
