My boat broke the 2 middle black rubber rollers. I bought 2 more but before I install them I want to make sure the wood with the carpet on them is the proper height so the rollers don't break again, can somebody help, please?

Re: How to adjust trailer

The rollers were probably just old. I recently adjusted my trailer (for ease with a shallow ramp). I used the jack as TD mentions and lowered the bunks so the boat was sitting on the rollers. Made sure all the rollers had about the same contact, adjusting some of them, then I raised the bunks, also with the jack, until they were just under load. Most of the weight on my hull is on the keel rollers with the bunks more for stability. I have a foam-filled boat, so the way my hull is supposed to rest on the keel might be different than yours.

I have a 1996 Monterey 180 scr with a 3.0 LX Mercruiser Alpha One, don't know if its foam filled.
