How much TV do you watch?

I don't know why, but this just popped into my head. Maybe because my family watches a lot more than I do & I wonder about the folks here.

Mine is actually on for noise. I listen to shows and usually cruise the internet with my back to the set.

I could'nt vote,because it varys from day to day,it all depeands how much i got to do,got done,or need to do,and also how tired i am.

I have a 9 yo son that has bowl fever. My wife is going nuts, all he wants to do is play football and watch football.

I voted for 1-2 hours (actually closer to the 2 hour mark), and this is about average. We tend to watch a bit more television in the winter than in the summer. In the summer, there is just too much going on (yardwork, outdoor fun stuff, etc...).<br />This winter we now have a treadmill and a bicycle trainer set up in the basement, along with a tv. This allows us to watch some tv guilt free .

Well, I sit in front of the TV with my laptop a few hours a day...but I'm rarely paying attention to the TV. I only actually watch probably 2-3 hours per week. I can't just sit and watch TV for very long before I get bored...

I don't watch too much TV....now-a-days TV is a bunch of crap!<br /><br />I am, however, in front of the TV, playing my video games for hours each day.

There's a tv on in the house most of the time but I don't watch it. I also put one on when I go to bed that I don't watch for more than a few minutes. <br />That being said, I think I'm weird... but not as weird as you <br /><br />haha

Most of my "4 hours" that I checked come in the morning. While I am getting breakfast, getting ready for the day, etc., I will have CNBC, Fox News, or maybe ESPN on. Don't watch much, more for listening than watching. Get a news fix while doing other things. So, does this count as watching? If it does, then I am correct. If not, then maybe an hour a day (except during College Bowl week - I will be glad when tonight is over and I can get back to normal, if there is such a thing!).

Most days I'm in the 0 hours, it varies, but rarely more than 2 hours in a day. As far as watching actual shows, I feel that PBS provides the best offerings & I might watch an hour-long show or two now & then. Also an occasional movie on DVD or tape. I have to agree with a comment above that most TV offerings today are crap. I didn't specify, but when I did the poll I was thinking of all TV time, actively watching and having it on while doing other things in the same room.<br /><br />It's funny, we don't have cable and receive 5 channels via our old fashioned roof antenna. My mother has cable and when I'm there, I notice that the only difference is that there's 60+ channels of crap.

I gave away my TV about 5 years ago or so - If I waatch any it's when I visit friends. <br /><br />When I do watch TV, it's either TLC, DSC, HIST, The Food Channel or Cartoon Network (laaate night - for the oldies!).<br /><br />When I watch anything else, I remember why I got rid of the TV - most of the stuff on the air is either garbage or drivel IMHO.

Fall/Winter<br />We watch WAY too much TV! <br />But thats ok because we enjoy it.<br />Dont have cable, only a outside antenna for local stuff.<br />80% of what we watch is on PBS<br />We also tape almost everything and watch it when we have time. During dinner etc<br />About 8 hours a week. Sometimes more! <br /><br />Spring/Summer<br />3-4 hours a week but then we tend to rent more movies also.

We watch movies, the news (local & Fox), the CSIs, House and the most evil channel ever broadcast HGTV.
