Been needing my carbs rebuilt for a while now....Tohatsu 40D 3 Cylinder 2000'.....

How much should I pay to get them cleaned/rebuilt??.....I went in to purchase the re-build kits and the guy at the shop said to just get a few float bowl gaskets and have them cleaned really good.....He said it would be a waste of $$ to buy the kits....

So far i've been getting quotes from $275-$450 for labor......I would do it myself but don't have the time right now...These 60+ hour work weeks are killin me......Is it possible to take them off and send them somewhere to get cleaned to save some $$?????

Here in Southern Cal we boat year round and every place close that works on Tohatsu outboards is always booked up.........

I've done it before on single carb Johnny/Rudes but never tried a 3 carb, 3 cylinder setup before and don't want to take it apart and have to wait till next week to put it back together.........

Two to 2.5 hours plus parts. Average shop.......$225.00. The full carb kit is $86.00.
