How much power does a fish finder draw?

I'm thinking of doubling up on my trolling motor battery. Will this be wise or should I add a 3rd battery to my boat?

grab a meter and check the amp draw It wont be that much.

Fish finders draw very little current . Most will be less than 500 ma. You do not need to add another battery .

Ah, sounds like great news to me. I'll just double it up on the deep cycle trolling motor battery and not worry.
