how much longer do i have

i have a volvo aq 125 a, it has 1150 hrs on it, the compression is 180 straight across. how many hours can i hope to get from this engine...anyone have an idea ? thanks

aaawww ell<br /> at 1155 it self destructs, the enginers designed it that way.<br /> actually thre is no real set time, depends on the amount of proactive maint and luck. sometimes it only takes one over heat to kill it. <br /> but if I could answer that I would have a 1-900 number and would be a pshychic motor advisor for $10.oo/min.

as with all older things it pays to treat them gently and with a little respect.. avoid thrashing the arse of it.. service it well and u will probably get another 1115 hrs out of it.. <br /><br />abuse it and u will get far less.. its all down to how the engine is treated.. permanently driving the thing at WOT will shorten its life dramatically compared to a sensible 2/3s throttle cruise for example..<br /><br />trog
