How much is aluminum flatback canoe worth?

Hi all. Just curious what y'all think a 16' seanymph aluminum, flatback canoe is worth (besides "whatever someone will pay for it"). I hope not to have to sell it, but if I do I'd like to know what I could reasonably ask for it. I currently use a 3hp kicker on it, but could probably handle a 10 hp. It's in great shape, has no leaks and new transom wood. No major dents or dings. All round great sturdy little boat. Thanks for any input.

Best to use search tempest (multiple craigslists), and get an idea of what similar ones are going for around you. Boat pricing is very locale and season driven. Up here, it's not worth as much now as it will be in another month. Probably different where you live.

while aluminum canoes are a dime a dozen ($100-$250) the square back is a desirable feature and they seldom come up for sale. Hunters love them. Try $500 (boat only).

I bought brand new my 1983 Sears Roebuck square back aluminum canoe, it's well used but in good solid condition. I'd expect at least $300 for it, but that ain't bad since I gave about $500 brand new. I run a Tanaka 3HP motor and for shallow saltwater fishing it's hard to beat!

I was looking for one of those a few years ago to leave at a cabin on a lake. Couldn't find one near me. Would have paid $300-400 no problem. $500 would have been borderline, but it doesn't hurt to list it high.

They're not quite as rare around here as elsewhere, but they usually seem to be offered in the $300 range and don't appear to last that long, so I'd guess that's a fair price.

Thanks y'all. That's about what I thought. I use a little 3hp Tanaka (Gamefisher) on it too. I like to go out on the flats and rivers with it. She's never let me down.

in toronto Canada the few that come up for sale go between 600 to 800
