how much for engine rebuild?

hi, acquired a '96 polaris 750 for free..hull is in good shape and engine turns over but after pulling the plugs i noticed one of the pistons had a small hole in it, other than that, it may actually run..i'm guessing this project would be called an engine rebuild?(not sure whats involved) roughly, how much am i looking at to have this rebuilt? i know nothing about pwc and dont have the time anyway. thanks in advance

they run lean and burn a hole in a piston it would not be a lot to replace the piston and if needed bore the jug may not need that and each one is seperate so it isn't too bad to do. but you need to rebuild the carbs and use a second pump or get an electric pump to keep from doing that again,check compression on the other 2 and if they are good just do what you need on the bad one. it isn't called a engine rebuild it is called a polaris tune up//lol.
