How much $$ for a cowl latch for a 9.9 Johnson?

I have a 1984 Johnson 9.9 and the latch to take the cowl off is broken, so I have been using pliers and everything is very stripped, so I plan on replacing the latch. I'm not sure how to look up the price. It can't be much...any ideas? Thanks for the help

Go to http://shop.evinrude.com/
Click on Electronic Parts Catalog
Click on the down arrow where it it defaults to Evinrude and select Johnson
Follow the prompts to your motor.

The parts list with list pricing is available at the BRP parts catalog site by navigating to your motor. BTW, parts like that are not in short supply at salvage yards.

Go check out shop.evinrude.com and look up your motor. Look at the engine cover section, they are sold in 2 pieces, all depends on what part you need.

try tcoutboards for a good price on a used one if they have it
