I just installed my new tach (teleflex) and now need to do my settings on the back. My engine is a '88 V4 120HP Evinrude. <br /><br />now it says on the tach that I need to set the switch to 1/2 number of Alternator poles... Which means?<br />the options are 2p 3p 4p 5p 6p and the choice is going to be between 5 and 6 I guess. As I had some normal WOT readings on that... 4800 or 5900. The rest was to far of.<br />I hope somone has a clue as to how to set it thanks.
