How long has Starcraft been in business?

The reason I ask, if because a guy not to far from me, has what he is saying is a 1955 16 foot Starcraft with and inboard for a pretty good price, can someone take a look at this add and let me know if this looks like a 1955 starcraft?

Why don't you post this question on the STARCRAFT forum. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the BOAT MANUFACTURERS topic. Then click on STARCRAFT. You will get much better info and probably quicker.

I agree, I'd guess '65 rather than '55.

Better verify that power plant before you head out to look, too. A 40 hp inboard? Probably a typo but make sure. At that age could be darned near any outboard that's been out of business like, forever. Worse would be some old I/O setup like a West Bend, though it'd cetainly be interesting.
