How long does it take for the air pockets to get worked out of the drive after you change the impeller and drive oil in an alpha 1 gen 2?

I changed the impeller at the beginning of the season, filled the drive back up from the bottom according to the merc manual, and all the seals were in place...even the quad....and no leaks. But its been about 10- 15 hours since then and the lube in the monitor has dropped about a 1/2 of an inch total. I have filled it back up twice, when it dropped about an 1/8 of an inch each time. Sine those 2 times, it has dropped another 1/8-1/4 inch.

I assume it is just the air pockets or bubble getting worked out since its not leaking anywhere, but just wanted to get some opinions to be sure. Thanks.

I would pull the drive & make sure it is not going into the bellows....;)

Thanks, I'll have a look at that when I get home next week. But only the lower was off when i did the impeller. And it was fine before that, so I'm not sure how anything in the bellows would have gotten messed up.
