How long does it take befor one figures out he needs to take off the tiedown straps?<br />Try about 30 min. Yes, thats how long it took this guy. He even yelled at his wife, I don't know what he said to her, but she walked up to the truck and slamed the door!

It only took me about 3 min. It was only the third or fourth time I took the boat out and thought that a floating trailer under a boat is not normal. Thank god that I was not able to start the boat. (Did not know that you push the key to choke the engine, but that is a different post) :D :D

Re: How long does it take?

I let my Dad borrow my bowfishing rig one weekend. It's a 14' alum with a 60 johnson. He just wanted to hit the Brazos River for a bit of fishing. We live in Texoma and he drove over three hours to get to the dock at the river. He called me the next day and said he never got it off the trailer. It is stuck or something he said. I went over to his house and asked Did you take off the transom straps. He got so upset that he yelled at Mom. Then at me. Mainly because we were laughing at him. He said no wonder the trailer was floating.
