my oldest is 7 and he played rookie ball this year for the first time Tball last year. He started the year not able to field a ground ball or even hit by the end of the year he ended up going 30 for 42 and the little guy snagged almost every ball hit to him. I helped as much as I could and I tell you I think it was the most rewarding summer I have ever had. Life is great when you can relive your youth through your kids eyes In fact he got a trophy tonight for being the most overall improved player. He is so into baseball that he wants to play all winter so we have an indoor field here and I committed to him twice a month to going How many of you are involved with your kids sports and how are their summers going

Miloman, that is great. It was thye greatest thing to see the kids improve. there was one kid that could not hit a ball to save his life. All the parents and the kids were unbeleiveably supportive. The last game was like a one of those kids movies. This kid actually not only got a hit, but got to base. Everyone was screaming and yelling. It was awesome.
My son did that too, and did make great improvments. It was too bad that by the end of the year when they had everythign down, the program was done.
I never had time to do much with the team. I was working most of the time, but would try to make a game a week.

This year he decided to stay in Karate (Purple belt) because the committment they wanted him to make, my wife's and my work schedule and his skill level was not going to let him be able to play, but just sit on the bench.
