How hot does the Y pipe get?

Just a dumb question but i was running some new bilge pump hose and wondered if the very bottom of the Y pipe on my Cobra would get warm enough to melt the bilge hose. The old hose was routed that way but was a smaller hose and just missed touching the pipe. The new larger hose does touch it.Not much for other routing options unless its against the starter..

Route it away from the Y-pipe. It shouldn't get hot enough to melt it unless the water pump fails. If the water pump fails you have the potential of developing a leak from melted exhaust parts. You would really like that pump to pump the water OUT of that boat if that should happen.
