How hard is it to re-wire a boat?

I have a 1995, 21' Skeeter with a 150 Mercury motor.

How ahrd is it to re-wire the entire system? Is there a manal out there I can purchase?

Only basic low voltage wiring manuals. Take a look under your dash and then determine if you have the electrical knowledge and ability. Unless you understand basic electricity and how switches and relays work, you'd best not tackle that job. On the other hand it's a good learning experience but it might turn out to be a very expensive learning experience if you fry some engine electrics.

I had no expierence in "electricity" but tackeld the job in a weekend on my 16ft riveria. I would definatley try to tackle it yourself. Lots of post on this topic, just do a search.

I rewired my 24 ft Slick craft in the spring. Took about one week of research and two weeks to complete the job. Not only am I more satisfied in the wiring but I know my electrical system inside & out. And everything works now. Thats certainly a plus. I wouldn't say it's that hard but it does take focus and patience.
