How fast will it go?

I am in the process of having a Merc 100 hp engine rebuilt for my 17' Funliner - what kind of speed should I expect from this boat with a good running engine?

what's a funliner rated for hp wise?

don't know if this will help. it's basically for calculating prop slip. but i see if ya read the links there may be a speed calculator too... best i can do for ya..

The boat is rated for 100 hp according to some of the old company brochures I've read. I would think it should move pretty well with 100 horses - what kind of speeds do any 17' owners out there get, and what hp are you running?
