How does the Glastron GT 205 handle rough water?

I currently own a 1994 Key West DC 1720. It handles chop/wakes/rough water beautifully. I'm considering upgrading to a new Glastron GT 205 for many reasons. While I'm quite familiar with Glastron quality, I'm wondering if any of you out there who have/had a Glastron GT 205 can give some insight into the way it handles in chop/wakes/rough water. While I want more room for people & gear, and a boat that is more of a pleasure/watersports boat (the Key West DC 1720 is more of a fishing boat), I want to be sure that I'm not stepping down much in terms of handling in less than perfect water conditions. Any insight is appreciated! Thanks.

I am not a Glastron owner but was stationed in Austin, Texas when Glastron was testing their wings (early 1960's). Having followed their designs over the years, I have no reservations in accepting the Glastron design from not only a quality of product standpoint, but also a performance objective.

A current dwell into their www will give you an idea as to what I am referring to.

I was about to answer that any boat with "GT" in the name probably wouldn't be as competent in riough water as your Key West, but I went to the Glastron site.

That boat has 21 deg. deadrise at the transom. Interesting. I guess they mean it when they say "FISH and ski"
