How does a convertible dinette turn into a bed for a SeaRay 260?

I can't find this in the owner's manual or anywhere online. I tried and it won't budge .. hoping someone has an insight. Here is a picture:



Had we known, this would have really come in handy .. my buddy slept outside hehe.

pull the table off the metal stand then pull the metal stand off it's base.Set the table back down it will fit onto the wood by the seat cushions plce the extra 2 cushions u have on the table and u know have another bed

Err, i guess it is bolted down. The metal stand's bolts are under the carpet. I'll have to look into it.

Did you try to spin it horizontally on the pedestal? The post itself should come out of both the top and the bottom and should be a blank tube. The base at the bottom and under the table should be similar and stay put.

There are probably some kind of pin lock to keep things from flying around in rough seas. Look at the post, the table should pick up to remove the post and then be set down on the seat rails to make the bed.

Mine needs to be unscrewed. Turn the table to unscrew from post and then try to unscrew post from the floor.

Mine just pulls out. if it's been awhile since it was removed it might take some twisting and rocking

yours is probably the same as our 270da the base is just tapered fit and as it picks up moisture crumbs chips spilled beer, it just gets sticky. twist and yank it it should pop out if it doesnt, spray alot of wd40 around base and let sit. you can download a half good owners manual on the sea ray site under archives

I'm bumping up an older post if it helps someone when they search.

But I took all the advice I read above and it was pretty much right. I rocked the pole back and forth however the screws that bolted it were underneath the carpet; wonder if the previous owner redid the carpet right over it ?

Anyways, basically I 'broke' it neatly from the post holding it down and that was my intention. It now turns into a bed and thats really what the cabin was mostly used for... sleeping and hanging out and I never used the table. It actually looks better IMO and still have the storage underneath the table + the cup holders.
