How do you tie a PWC up to a dock?

Potentially a really dumb question, but I just got my first PWC (Sea-Doo Wake Pro 215) and it's not obvious to me how to tie it up to a gas dock or other dock (such as marina dock when going in for lunch). I'm only looking to tie up for short periods as I have a floating PWC dock at my lakehouse.

My assumption is that I would loop a rope around the steering column then tie it to a cleat on the dock, but, if that's not right or not the best way, would appreciate insight on how to tie it up to best protect it.

Best way is to suspend the ski between 2 points, so it can't hit the dock at all. My ski has pop up cleats at the front, and I use the towing eye, or one of the stern cleats at the rear as the tie points.

In places where tying it off like that is not possible I carry a set of PWC fenders, and tie up next to the dock like a boat. Problem for PWCs is that most docks are too high, and the ski will try to go under the dock with wake, so be careful where you put it. I've seen much more damage done to skis from docks than they ever get from riding.

Tie one end of the line to the eye on front. Cleat the middle of the line and then tie the back to the towing ring. 2 point attachment with the dock cleat in the middle.

Dammit! Totally missed that!

Although, technically a line. it's only a rope until you tie it to something...

Guess I opened myself up for that one. We do have a lot of Kudzu vines here in Georgia that might work to tie it up, though.
