I have a 350 with a volvo 280pt outdrive in a 79 formula 233. The steering cable needs replaced and I have never done this before. I'm assuming I need to pull the existing cable to be able to match it up to a new one, but without the new cable to look at I don't quite know how to do it.I can see how to disconnect from the wheel, but i'm not sure about the transom. Here is a pic if it will make a difference.
