How do you remove the fuel line from the fuel rail on a 350 mag Mercruiser?

I believe I have a fuel pump problem on a 350 Mercruiser mag serial OM 325816.

It had a rough start up after being winterized. The motor initially ran this spring but then start running poorly. fuel pump has no pressure as measured at the railand is sounding sickly. I am in the process of removing the cool fuel unit and can't seem to be able to remove the fuel line from the fuel rail. evrything else seems to be out.

You need special tools to disconnect those lines. The good news is they don't cost much and even the 10 dollor plastic ones work quite well for occasional use. Ok I picked up a tool and removed the fuel line fairly easy... Ordered the pump today which was discontinued and i had to order a kit from Merc that includes a pump and cool fuel tube.

Don I have to apologize as I had originally responded to you the other day. I must not have submitted it correctly. This is my first time posting a thread...

But thanks again for your quick response and assistance! I purchased a tool and had to wait a few days to work on the boat due to weather and work.

The pump should be in tomorrow afternoon and hopefully i will be running by the weekend.
