How do you find a gear case leak?

I know I have a slight leak in my gear case. My question is what is the best way to find where the leak is? No oil in gear case submerged in water with 5 lbs pressure on it and watch for where air bubbles are coming out?? In advance, thanks for looking?. Scott

That's what I'd do. I'd go find that ground down bike tube valve stem I made to adapt the bike pump to it.

Do I have the pressure right? 5 psi?

we test 10 to 12 lbs. at our shop...

better check pressure and VACUUM. I have found several that would not show a leak with pressure (pushing out on seals and "o-rings") but leaked alot when subjected to the vacuum test!
