How do you cut the threaded pipe on aerator pumps?

I’m replacing the aerator pump on my 2002 Basstracker. I need to cut the threaded thru hull fitting pipe so the flow rite drain actuator will accept it. I don’t want to damage threads because it has the screw into the flow rite. How do I cut it? I’m afraid a hacksaw might make a crooked cut.

Why not a hacksaw? That's more than likely how it was assembled based on what I've seen in the showrooms and past boat shows.

Clean it up with a file afterwards....its more than the factory did.

What “threads” are you talking about?
The threads holding the thru hull in place are not pipe threads.

The pipe thread that might be there are NPS threads. Purposely not comparable with NPT “plumbing” fittings
