Hiya,
Daft question but I want to change the impeller on my second hand 1996 Suzuki DT 2.2hp outboard. I am having trouble removing the prop, I have removed the split pin (and also the two 10mm nuts behind) and I assume that I should be able to gently tap the prop off. I have hit it fairly hard with a hammer and block of wood but it isnt shifting... I dont think there is anything else holding it on but thought I would ask rather than break something. If it is simply just stuck any clever ideas to remove it without damaging it?!
also re. tell-tale on these engines. I read somewhere else that there isnt a proper tell-tale and that the twin holes half way up the leg should just emit a little bit of water and smoke/steam. Anyone know if that is correct and if so how do you know if the engine is pumping water or not.
