Remove the prop nut (some held on by locking tabs some held by a cotter key)the washer and slide it off. Remove the lower washer and clean all the surplus fishing line off the shaft :D and re-install in reverese.

I usually coat the prop shaft with a light coating of marine grease. Install the prop nut tight (just snug) and re-install the locking pin or hammer the tabs down (usually 3 of the 6 line up).

Bob

DO not torque the prop. Just tight. It should slide off when pulled by hand.

Bob

Like Bob_VT said, it'll slide off.... IF the guy before you lubed the shaft before putting the prop back on the last time. If not, you sometimes have real problems getting it off and a puller may be required.
Routine maintenance requires you to remove the prop, clean & lube the shaft, & reinstall the prop at least once a year. If you do, it'll slide off when you want it to. :)
Backlash

Just make sure you put the locking tab/cotter pin back in depending on your outdrive.
Goodluck.

I would suggest that you get a manual for your particular motor and remove and re-install by the manufacturers specifications.

If you list the make and year of your motor, I'm sure somebody can help you here with precise information.
