I want to replace my hubs on my old trailer and I see all replacement hubs specified by spindle diameter,1", 1-1/16", 1-3/8", 1-1/4"x1-1/16" etc... How do I get this exact measurement or is there an easier way? I want to order these online, so it won't help to bring the old hubs along. Thanks much.

The Only Way to Know for Sure,<br />Is to Remove the Hub,+ Measure it..............

Run to the hardware store and get a set of cheap calipers. You can also "eyeball" a tape as it's held across the spindle. DuPont

Measure the "Hole" in the Bearings.......<br />It's Easier than Measuring the Spindle.........

"Not all spinles are created equal"<br /><br />On one wheel hub combination it is possible to have two different I.D's on the spindle and even two different O.D's in the hub. Along with variences in the sealing surface diam.<br /><br />And believe it or not, it's possible to have had someone to have replaced one spindle different from the other.<br /><br />The best way to do it is remove, diassemble, clean and dry all parts then track them down.<br /><br />A lot of value can be had from those bearing kits if available in your configuration as compared to buying single parts like at a bearing store or napa auto parts.<br /><br />I usually like to have a double lipped seal if I'm running bearing buddies.
