I just finshed a semi-rebuild on my '88 Suzuki DT115 and would like to disable the oil injection system so I'll have to mix my oil and gas. What is the recommended procedure?

I also am trying to install an aftermarket Tachometer, but am not getting any signal from the Tachometer Control Unit (which per the Suzuki manual only appears on the Canadan models). The Suzuki model does not provide any trouble shooting info, and hardley acknowledges it exists. Any trouble shooting suggestions?

Are you disabling because it is causing trouble, or just as a precaution? I am wondering because I have a '85 DT115 and I have a post on here about a prossible problem that I an troubleshooting. The thing is the issue is not posing a major problem, just anoying.

Knightgang

I dunno about the Canadian model deal or a recommended disable procedure- doubt there is one.

But- I have had 2 zooks that I disabled simply by shorting (or disconnecting depending on the type of switch) the warning sensors and then pluging off the open tubes.
I haven't had a problem yet.

Everyone that I have talked to said that they just disconnect the sensors, (oil flow and oil level) and plug the oil line leading into the oil pump. THen they mix the fuel to a 50:1 ratio and they are good to go. Let us know if you still have questions.

Anybody else have any other recommendations?

Knightgang
