How do I Disable Fast Start?

1994 Evinrude 200
Model # LE200SLERS

How would I disable the fast start feature so that I may use Joe Reeves WOT timing method. I had it out the other day and I just don't think I could safely check the timming while running down the lake at 65 plus mph. Thankyou for any help.

It's QuikStart, not Fast Start.

On one cylinder head you will see a sensor with two wires on the head -a white w/black striped wire and a tan. Disconnect the wht/blk from the powerpack and on powerpack side insert a wire in connector and attach it to engine ground ,this will bypass QuikStart.

Warm the engine up before doing this or it will be more difficult to start.

Thanks EZ. I thought it was QuickStart too but was going by what it said in Joe Reeves WOT Timing Procedure. This brings me to my next point. You say to warm the engine up for easier starting but from what I can see I won't be starting it. The plugs will be out. If I am missing something let me know as this is the first time I have tried this method. Thanks for your answer. PS I found the wires you mentioned but it will be a few days before I time it.
