how can i start engine in a bench?

2000 4.3 gi pefs engine. how can i wire it to start it out of the boat?

Hook the battery cables up as normal. Then make a jumper wire from the battery + terminal to the purple wire on the back of the alternator. That's your ignition switch, unhook to shut off.
Another jumper from battery + terminal to touch on small terminal on starter with yellow red wire to operate starter.

what is the shut off? how will the fuel pumps activate? remember my engine is a tbi fuel injector. thanks

Like i said, the jumper going to your alternator is your ignition switch. To shut it off, remove the jumper.
Trust me, it will work.
