I am a 1995 spectrum 1800 SD. I can't get the black roller marks off my hull and orange scum line off the back of my boat. My boat is a painted aluminum. I can't seem to find any product that is made to clean a boat it mine. The products are either for fiberglass or non painted aluminum.
I just got done restoring the interior of my boat. I was hoping to get my hull looking as good as my interior. Any help woud be greatly appreciated.

I'd start as non invasive as possible, then work my way up if it doesn't work. Start with a cleaner wax, then a rubbing compound, then go to a buffing compound. All of these need to be combined with copious amounts of elbow grease, of course.

Don't some folks use muriatic acid or acidic toilet bowl cleaner to remove hull stains?

StarBrite Hull Cleaner. It's made to clean hulls. Gets rid of the black marks, the water stains, rust stains, etc.

Use gloves and rinse thoroughly.

Save some bucks and go 50/50 muriatic acid and water. Big home improvement stores have it. Big boat yards use it.
