How can I find out the year without model #

I have a real old evenrude trying find the year so i can rebuild card the only thing I can find is serial # 3012-42073 and I think it's a 3hourse power

She is a 1952

3012 is your model number. The 3012 was made from '52 to '54

Being serial number 42073, she is a '52. All serial numbers for the 3012 up to 9000 were 1952. From 9001 to 34000 were 1953. 34001 and up 1954.
