how bad is my prop?

Hello again, I recently purchased an evinrude 9.9 , The prop is worn and I have a few questions , the prop is missing paint around the edge of the fins, and it is a bit nicked up on the edges also , how much will this effect the speed and performance?...keep in mind the motor is a 9.9 hp and its on a heavy boat so it wont go very fast to begin with ...(hp limited lake) thanks for any replys

I would definately take it to a prop shop...an out of balance prop will play havoc with bearings and seals in l/u...just a Thought

Thought101 gives good advise. If you have several nicks larger than kernals of corn, get it done....<br />It takes quite a bit of damage to notice the difference on that low a HP.
