Re: How about a Quantum group?

We had a Quantum 170XL bass boat. I am definitely not a fan of that boat. The steering was tough, the hull took forever to plane out with a 115 Merc that I'm also not a fan of. The locks on the storage comparments were cheap and difficult to operate. All in all I would have advised against my grandfather buying it had I had the chance to test drive it, but luckily we sold it for about what we paid for it 3 years later, so no biggie. What Quantum version do you own?

The reason there likely isn't a Quantum boat owners group is because they weren't around for very long, and most don't hold the "Bass Pro Shops" boats in very high esteem.

I have a 1989 1804 fish and ski w/125 force, Bought it used about 10 years ago, I've had some problems with soft fishing decks but that's it. With the 125 it gets right up on plane assuming I haven't been idling around to long ( curse of a force engine, just replaced the recirc screens) I find it rides very nice (as compared to my old 16ft Mirrocraft) Overall I'd have to say I'm pleased with it
