I didn't get any love on my request for a description of where a trim sending unit is installed on a Force OB so... how about you kind folks send in a picture of the unit as it is installed showing what the arm contacts on the motor frame that allows the sending unit to give position info?

Anyone? Anyone? Can you hear me? Is this on... ? Sound check. 1 2 1 2...

attached are the install instructions for the trim sender for your year, mine is on an 1985, so it should be the same. Kit is very hard to find. they are obsolete

Re: How about a picture of an installed Trim sending unit?

jKoppe73,

Thanks for the info. For a minute there, I thought my mic wasn't working any more with all the dead air I got.

Yes, until I find one, if I even need the OEM version, I'm trying to make do with a couple of SU's from Evinrude and Yamaha that I picked up. It' s still hard for me to understand how having the body of the unit on one side of the motor bracket and the moving arm on the other side sends a signal. This is why perhaps an actual picture would help, especially a pic of where the arm actually contacts the moving OB frame.

When you have a chance, perhaps you can snap a couple of pics of your set up?

Thanx again,

Al
