Hi all and thanks for having me on the forum. I recently bought a new family boat (2012 Yamaha AR 190) and have been frequenting Lake mead about once a week. At the end of this summer we are looking to bring all the family together for a house boat trip on mead for a few days. I have never rented a houseboat and would welcome any advice for a newbie as well as some good areas to beach the H/B. Good areas to explore? Closest and best place to get the houseboat per the area that would be best to explore?
I read some threads on this site about some of this from a few years back but with water levels changing I'm wondering if there are any recent houseboat stories and advice on where to go what to see, good fishing spots, etc... For our family this will be a HUGE trip with about 15 or so people. Looking for a nice sandy beach preferably in a cover or a non over crowded nice area.
Any other advice for a first time house boater looking to explore the best of Lake Mead, I'm all ears...
